Testimonials

Julia has been amazing support for our daughter, providing specialist dyslexia tutoring that has truly made a difference. Her expertise and patient, encouraging approach have not only improved our daughter's reading and writing skills but also boosted her confidence. Julia tailors each session to our daughter's needs, ensuring a positive and engaging learning experience. My daughter looks forward forward to her lesson every week and especially the fun game at the end. We are incredibly grateful for her support and highly recommend her to any family seeking skilled and compassionate dyslexia support.

My son has been working with Julia for around 5 months now and the difference she is making is amazing. He was newly diagnosed with dyslexia when Julia began teaching him and he had lost all confidence with reading and writing. Julia has tailored her sessions to fit his needs exactly and he loves them. Even his guinea pigs sometimes get involved! Julia liaises with both myself and his class teacher to ensure that he has the correct support in school and to feedback on the things she is working on with him. His confidence is slowing returning and he finally understands how his brain works in relation to his dyslexia. Thank you, Julia!

Julia is a really nice and caring lady and if I ever struggle with anything she always helps. I have learnt a lot from her and I have enjoyed learning lots of different strategies to help me to spell words. I always look forward to seeing her and I would recommend her to anyone who wants help with their reading and writing.

My daughter has learnt so much from Julia. Julia has been able to realise when things are upsetting her outside of their lessons and Julia goes out of her way to help her and comfort her. When things have bothered my daughter at school, Julia takes the time to help figure it out and has liaised with me to help solve issues – her personal touch is very warming.

I love all the games we play especially the football memory game. Learning things is fun with Julia and I can read much better now. Before, I hated having to read but now I find it easier and I can read books like my friends can.

Since Julia has been working with my son, his confidence has grown hugely. He now talks proudly of his dyslexia and I've seen a massive improvement in his writing, reading and even in everyday tasks. I can't thank Julia enough for the impact she's had and would recommend her without hesitation to any parent of a dyslexic child.

I love Julia sessions because we can play fun games. My guinea pigs can join in too. My spelling is much better now.

From the very beginning Julia took the time to understand my child's unique needs and learning style. Her tailored approach to teaching has made a remarkable difference in my child's confidence and academic performance. Julia is not only highly knowledgeable but also extremely patient and encouraging, creating an environment where my child feels safe to express herself and ask questions. The techniques and strategies employed are creative, engaging and fun. Julia is very easy to talk to and keeps me informed and assured. Working with Julia has been a truly positive experience for us both.

Julia is the best dyslexia teacher I have ever had! At the start of Year 5 I went to get tested for dyslexia, I was really worried.
She really helped me settle into my lessons and I really enjoy it!

Julia has helped me with my dyslexia by using rhymes and games to get sounds and syllables into my head. All of the lessons were fun and made me begin to enjoy English more. She has always made my interests the topic to try and get me to focus and enjoy it.
She teaches each student differently and concentrates on what they personally need to have help on. I love the way she teaches and would highly recommend her.

We have seen a huge improvement in our daughter since she has worked with Julia. Not only in her reading and writing but in her confidence too. The lessons are fun and engaging and my daughter has really enjoyed them. Julia adapted things to suit and nothing was ever too much trouble.

Julia really knows the importance of working with the parents and the child so that everyone has a good understanding not only of the limitations, but the opportunities dyslexia can present. She helped us to navigate the specific challenges my son faced and invested in the relationship she had with us as parents. If it hadn't been for Julia I wouldn't have had the confidence I have now to advocate for what my son needs in school. I am also more able to affirm him in the areas he naturally excels in, which are not always areas recognised in school curriculum.
