dyslexia tutor

Many dyslexic children struggle with traditional methods of teaching. My specialist teaching uses hands-on, creative, and multi-sensory approaches that specifically support dyslexic learners and their individual ways of learning.

Every one of my learners benefits from personalised support that enables them to enhance and build skills in the areas that they are experiencing difficulties with.

Positive outcomes aside, one of the biggest priorities for me is to make sure my students find lessons fun and  feel empowered to take control of their learning. My students learn to recognise their strengths and they learn how to utilise them within their own educational landscapes.

Julia is a really nice and caring lady and if I ever struggle with anything she always helps. I have learnt a lot from her and I have enjoyed learning lots of different strategies to help me to spell words. I always look forward to seeing her and I would recommend her to anyone who wants help with their reading and writing.

Lessons are built on a structured, cumulative programme of learning in which students are guided through a series of small and achievable steps to reach their learning potential.

This structured and predictable approach enables learners to develop the confidence to lead their own learning and complete tasks independently.

I use a wide variety of techniques and activities to create a learning experience which is hands-on, practical and engaging. This helps to overcome the difficulties many dyslexic children struggle with, such as speed of processing, short-term working memory and concentration.
