Parent Consultation

dyslexia teacher hull

I offer bespoke, one-to-one, parent consultation sessions either online or via telephone where we can discuss and work through any information that you require regarding your child’s unique needs.

Do you suspect that your child has dyslexia but you don’t know how to best move forward?

Is your child struggling with reading, writing and spelling at home and you don’t know how to best support them?

Has your child been assessed as having dyslexia but you feel that their needs aren't yet being fully met?

Are unsure about what should and shouldn't be happening to best support your child's learning?

Have you previously attended online webinars but you’re struggling to relate that information to your own child and circumstances?

If the answer to any of the above questions is ‘yes’ then my parent consultation sessions could be the best next step for you.

Julia really knows the importance of working with the parents and the child so that everyone has a good understanding not only of the limitations, but the opportunities dyslexia can present. She helped us to navigate the specific challenges my son faced and invested in the relationship she had with us as parents. If it hadn't been for Julia I wouldn't have had the confidence I have now to advocate for what my son needs in school. I am also more able to affirm him in the areas he naturally excels in, which are not always areas recognised in school curriculum.
